Breeding Season is here!

We are very excited this midwinter, because after taking a year off from husbandry, the 2025 breeding season has arrived!

We searched for a handsome registered buck with great conformation, milking lines and blue eyed lineage because we are of a mind here that all things can be both beautiful and functional! (Although Dad and I do have some pretty heated discussions about how to achieve this!) We are keeping some of our non-registered goats because we want to have offerings for every budget, but are breeding out the traits that we don’t love and introducing new genetics. This is the joy of being a goat rancher after all. Curating your perfect herd!

We have high expectations of Waffles. 

This spring, we will be reinforcing our pens, adding another fenced pasture, replacing some gates, creating a more robust nursery - all gearing up for the kids we expect in June. You can check out our breed does here! We will have doelings and bucklings in June and July and milk a plenty. Just email us if you want to be added to our waiting list for a buckling or doeling now. We will also be selling Bailey once she kids - we love her and she is faultless, but she is one of the non-registered we are parting with as we curate our herd.

Our anticipated summer kids camp will also be complete with all the babies running around. 

I also have in mind to start breeding holland lops or another pet breed this spring as we have decided to end our meat rabbit breeding - we just can’t - and there is not enough interest in our Satins for pets. Not sure about it yet, as it is a lot of work for very little return.
