Welcome 2025!!!

We had some lofty goals for 2024 and I am both proud and embarrassed that we only achieved about half of them. But, if you don’t have goals written down for accountability, then you can’t accomplish nearly as much as you intend! So here are the combined 2025 goals of our team here at Salt Ranch.

We are welcoming 2025 with open arms and high hopes. We are off to a much better start than last year and anticipate the ranch to be in full swing by spring.

Some of the things we didn’t accomplish last year, are on deck for this year and we are slipping in a few more.

• Finish pool fencing, decking, lighting around patio and landscaping!

• Build a beautiful rock swale to divert water away from the deck and the pool incorporating a water feature.

• Revamp outdoor kitchen 

  • Sink, doors, shelves inside?

• Breed does and ramp up marketing for kidding season in June.

• Add more chickens!! (Lol - this is constant and an easy one to check off)

• Expand paddock for donkeys 

• Flesh out online store with soaps and woodworking items

• Allocate storage container and build out addition to run in shed.

• Finish grading and create our “game trails” - keeping us dry during chores!!

• Develop and launch Salt Ranch’s Pumpkin Patch.

• Execute the already designed hardscaping project to add parking and move the travel trailer out of sight.

Siding on the guest house and revamping the property fencing are on my wish list, but these are more dependent on non-farm related income, and non farm related manpower so they stay on deck until we can afford to outsource them.

So stay tuned. We are totally amped for the next 12 months.
